As the year closes, Chris and I have decided to compile multiple lists to compare and contrast the best and worst of the year. Our first list, The Hottest Women (during the time we were growing up i.e. middle school) list, was received with mixed reviews. So we thought that it would be fun to go against each other in a head to head battle over the top songs of 2011. We are each putting up our own list and would like you to browse through and select the list you think is best. You can also vote for which list you like in the comment box by writing either “cwsquires” or “stemack” below. For those who do not know our taste tends to lean towards the hip-hop side when it comes to music. However, I think our list will show our ever growing maturity and the fact that we hang out with a lot of white people. Without further ado, here they are. Tell us what you think.

vote:stemack.......squires got some good songs but racks on racks as the number 1.....idk bout that
ReplyDeleteI did a strict +1 for a great song, -1 for a bad song, and a 0 for just ok. It resulted in one of yall gettin smashed by the other, they will remain nameless.
ReplyDeleteStemack: Hands down. The variety of songs and artists makes this an easy decision. CWSquires looks as if he hasn't listened to more than hotnewhiphop.com, and 5 actual albums all year. 10 out of 20 songs come from YoungMoney, Jay-Z, and J. Cole. Which even if both the list tends to favor hip-hop... it doesn't even explore some of hip-hops best albums this year. So even though Stemack doesn't leave the mainstream charts, atleast his has variety of good popular music from the year.
ReplyDeleteP.S. No wonder why he was so mad she f****d up "No Hands", he didn't know any other songs playing that night!
I'm just a little bit of a hipster when it comes to music.
ReplyDeleteVariety is needed as we get older can just be all about gettin money
ReplyDeleteBoth of yall have a wack ass playlist.
